Sun Life Québec invites a motivated bilingual Pricing Consultant to join their team in Montreal. This hybrid role involves analyzing medical, personal, and financial information of applicants to assess eligibility for life and critical illness insurance products. The consultant evaluates and classifies risks, requests additional medical information or tests, approves requests within authority limits, and refers others for co-signature. When decisions are unfavorable, they negotiate with reinsurers to seek better outcomes.

Key duties include collaborating with internal and external partners, maintaining confidentiality, keeping medical knowledge current, and supporting advisors by answering inquiries. The role requires excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and knowledge of medical risk factors.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in life insurance pricing, current authorization as a signer for life and critical illness insurance, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and specialized certifications such as ALU, FALU, or FLMI. Bilingual fluency (French and English) is mandatory for this Quebec-based position due to interactions with both francophone and anglophone colleagues.
