Banking Centre Manager

 

Description:

CIBC is looking for a dedicated and passionate Banking Centre Manager to lead a team of financial services professionals in delivering exceptional client experiences. As a people leader, you’ll be responsible for hiring, developing, and coaching your team to perform at their best, while driving revenue growth and ensuring client success. The role requires you to manage the daily operations of the Banking Centre and foster a culture of teamwork and high performance. This is an on-site, full-time position, and you may be required to work during evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to deepen client relationships and provide a high standard of service

  • Advocate for CIBC within the community to build new and existing client relationships

  • Encourage employees to resolve client complaints promptly and escalate when necessary

  • Monitor the Banking Centre’s business performance and implement action plans to address any gaps

  • Collaborate with partners to maximize market opportunities and increase overall performance

  • Coach a high-performing team, providing development opportunities to employees

  • Foster a culture of trust, teamwork, and accountability

  • Manage and minimize risk to safeguard the bank, clients, and shareholders

Qualifications:

  • Must hold current accreditation and be in good standing with the Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada)

  • Branch Compliance Officer’s Course (BCO), Branch Managers Examination Course (BME), Conducts & Practices Handbook (CPH), Wealth Management Essentials (WME), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is an asset

  • Experience in people leadership and managing a high-performing team

  • Goal-oriented with a passion for delivering results

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and team members

  • Proven experience in financial advising, client service, and business development

  • Ability to work within a flexible schedule and manage multiple responsibilities

  • Willingness to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance
