Position Overview:
The Audio Visual CAD Drafter 1 will be an integral part of Diversified’s Engineering design team, responsible for preparing highly detailed architectural installation drawings for AV projects. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD (and ideally Revit), architectural drafting skills, and the ability to follow company drawing standards. The position is remote, offering flexibility while requiring strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and team members via video and audio conferencing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Architectural Audio Visual Infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD

• Draft architectural details including elevations, floor plans, and reflected ceiling plans

• Maintain proper version control in project file systems

• Support and adhere to Diversified’s drawing standards

• Contribute to and utilize the centralized block library

• Provide schedule projections and status updates

• Coordinate delivery and receipt of CAD deliverables

• Create Sight Line Studies for AV installations

• Stay up-to-date on AutoCAD and Revit advancements through continuing education

Complexity & Metrics:

• Work under direction from Design Engineers

• Execute drafting instructions with precision and speed

• Maintain an error rate of less than 5%

Education & Certifications:

• Infocomm CTS certification (required within first year of employment)

• Minimum 1 year CAD Operator experience

• Audio Visual industry experience preferred but not mandatory

• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; Revit knowledge a plus

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent architectural design knowledge (floor plans, sections, elevations)
