Associate Risk Manager

Description:

Motive is seeking a bilingual (English/French) Associate Risk Manager to join its Risk Management team. The role involves reviewing and assessing the financial risk of new and existing customers, making decisions based on underwriting policy guidelines, and collaborating with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to ensure a world-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate application status and request additional documentation as needed.

• Make timely and accurate credit decisions based on policy guidelines.

• Validate document authenticity and identify suspicious trends.

• Create and maintain underwriting policies and procedures.

• Perform financial analysis and compile underwriting memos.

• Set customer expectations and respond to questions during onboarding.

• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and French.

• 4+ years of experience in underwriting (financial services, fintech, or high-growth payments).

• Expertise in quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.

• Strong knowledge of Canadian compliance, lending, and regulatory requirements.

• Proficient in mathematics, financial spreading, and risk assessment principles.

• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
