Appointed Director

Description:

Commitment: Come prepared to monthly board meetings, bi-annual meetings of members, and periodical committee meetings.

An ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree
• Have experience working with a student newspaper or other major student organization
• Have experience serving on a board of directors or similar body
• Have expertise working with, drafting, and revising by-laws and policies for a not-for-profit corporation, major student group, or similar organization
• Have experience working with the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act
• Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication, critical thinking and analysis, and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Have a proven record of dependability, trustworthiness, and maintaining the confidentiality
• Be available to serve more than one consecutive term if requested
