As Director, you will be a senior strategic and technical leader reporting to the VP of AI Engineering and Enablement. You will be responsible for developing and executing the roadmap for OpenText’s shared GenAI foundations, ensuring scalable engineering delivery, AI enablement, and applied AI incubation. The role requires leading a cross-functional team comprising product managers, architects, and developers to deliver internal AI tooling, SDKs, frameworks, and runtime services. You will also oversee exploratory and applied R&D initiatives to validate GenAI patterns and drive alignment across engineering and architecture teams to establish reusable and standardized AI foundations.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Leading diverse engineering teams delivering shared AI tools, frameworks, and runtime services.

• Driving alignment, reuse, and scalability of AI solutions across multiple product lines.

• Overseeing applied AI incubation to evaluate new ideas, capabilities, and architectures.

• Collaborating with senior product and architecture leaders to ensure execution aligns with business priorities.

• Translating emerging AI trends into secure, scalable, and enterprise-ready platform capabilities.

• Managing AI platform roadmaps and coordinating across functions to accelerate adoption.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of engineering, architecture, or platform development leadership, including 5+ years in AI/ML or related domains.

• Proven track record in leading teams that build scalable platforms, developer toolkits, and AI services.

• Deep expertise in Generative AI (LLMs, orchestration frameworks, agent runtimes, model integration).

• Knowledge of cloud-native and off-cloud deployment, with a focus on security, compliance, and privacy.

• Strong understanding of the AI lifecycle, from evaluation to operational monitoring and reuse.

• Experience in incubating new AI capabilities into structured, reusable solutions.

• Excellent strategic thinking, technical execution, and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
