Advisor Insurance Risk Management

Description:

Procurement & Management:

• Support execution of enterprise insurance strategy through quantitative analysis of cost/ benefit and financial modelling.

• Lead and implement development of assigned components of enterprise insurance renewal submission on an annual basis.

Advisory:

• Lead and perform sophisticated insurance contract reviews, complex construction insurance placement and associated decision support processes.

• Lead and perform insurance-related project due diligence as part of investment review processes, including risk identification.

Claims:

• Collaborate with internal partners to support claims handling activities, and improve procurement processes through feedback loop.

• Support claims management and recoveries, and associated decision support systems.

Culture & Environment:

• Foster a team culture of technical excellence through the support for the design and use of meticulous and frequent scenario-based technical learning; attendance at formal industry learning opportunities.

Who you are

Required:

• You will have 4 or more years of experience in insurance, claims management actuarial or statistical roles.

• Post-secondary education, preferably in business, law, or actuarial science.

• Extensive working knowledge of insurance policy language, industry standards, risk management practices and principles, contract and civil law, insurance program design and implementation and insurance contract wording.

• Ability to effectively manage large, multi-faceted projects that may vary in nature and scope and predictability.

• Proficient with Microsoft suite of applications.
