Inacre Conseil inc is seeking a Technicien-comptable (Accounting Technician) for a permanent, full-time position within a friendly and professional accounting firm located near Sherbrooke, Quebec. The successful candidate will take on significant responsibilities, particularly leading the bookkeeping department, supporting clients and junior staff, and contributing to various tax and financial statement preparations. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the bookkeeping department, providing training to clients and staff on various accounting and payroll software systems.

• Assist in the setup and implementation of new accounting systems for clients.

• Communicate with government authorities for follow-ups on client files.

• Prepare T4 and T5 slips for clients.

• Collaborate closely with the chartered professional accountant (CPA).

• Assist CPAs on various special projects.

• Prepare compilation and review-level financial statements.

• Assist in the preparation of personal, business, and trust income tax returns.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• College diploma in accounting (DEC)

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle

• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (for occasional client visits)

• Proficient in computer use and accounting software

• Able to manage multiple client files simultaneously
