Description:

Alta Equipment Company, one of North America’s leading equipment distributors, is seeking a full-time Welder for its Waterloo, QC branch. The role involves preparing parts and surfaces for welding, performing welding using SMAW and FCAW processes in all positions, inspecting welds for defects, maintaining welding equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Welders will also collaborate with mechanical technicians and work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare pieces and surfaces for welding.

• Execute welds using SMAW and FCAW processes in all positions.

• Inspect welds and perform necessary repairs.

• Maintain welding equipment and ensure workplace safety and cleanliness.

• Collaborate with mechanical technicians and maintain equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of welding experience and 2 years with SMAW/FCAW.

• Experience in construction and crushing machinery is a plus.

• Accurate, organized, positive, and team-focused.

• Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
