Description:
Join a growing organization in the building materials sector as a Technical Sales Representative based in the Greater Barrie Area. This role combines technical consulting with strategic sales and marketing, supporting a broad North American customer base including the US and Mexico.
You will engage directly with customers and prospects, providing expert technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle—from initial concept to implementation. Your strong communication skills and technical knowledge will be critical in helping customers successfully integrate products and driving business growth.
Engage with prospects and customers via calls, site visits, and presentations
Qualify new leads and provide ongoing technical support
Assist customers with product integration and formulation advice
Develop and contribute to technical sales materials and presentations
Support marketing initiatives including trade shows and promotional content
Collaborate with sales, R&D, logistics, and manufacturing teams internally
Maintain and nurture relationships with regional distributors
Participate in sales team meetings and strategy planning
Pursue continuous professional development and training
Post-secondary education in material science, engineering, construction technology, or related field
Proven experience in building construction or technical sales
Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
Self-motivated with excellent time and priority management
Willing and able to travel as needed across North America (US & Mexico)
