Description:
The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF), one of the world’s premier animation events since 1976, is currently recruiting individuals for multiple contract positions in preparation for this year’s festival taking place from September 24 to September 28. The roles are offered under the Job Creation Partnership (JCP) Program, which is designed to provide work experience to unemployed job seekers in Ontario.
Selected candidates will work in one of the following key areas:
Special Events Coordination
Guest Travel Assistance
Office Administration and Coordination
Sponsorship Assistance
These roles support the planning, coordination, and execution of the festival, bringing together industry professionals, students, and animation fans from across the globe. Participants will gain meaningful work experience, enhance job skills, and expand professional networks through hands-on involvement in a high-profile international event.
Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the Job Creation Partnerships (JCP) Program:
Must be unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week.
A permanent resident living in Ontario and legally eligible to work in Canada.
Additionally, applicants must meet at least one of the following:
Currently receiving Employment Insurance (EI) benefits.
Have established an EI claim in the past 5 years.
Paid EI premiums in at least 3 of the last 10 years with earnings of at least $2000/year.
Received the CERB (Canada Emergency Response Benefit) within the past 5 years.
Note:
Individuals enrolled in full-time academic programs are ineligible.
Eligible applicants must apply for EI benefits before participating in the program.
