Child Development Institute (CDI) is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to join the Mothers in Mind® (MIM) team for a 10-month contract. This evidence-based program supports mothers and their children (up to age 4) who have experienced trauma and family violence. MIM fosters healthy parenting relationships through therapeutic playgroups delivered at CDI, shelters, or partner agencies across Toronto.

As a Social Worker, you will co-facilitate group sessions, conduct psycho-social assessments, and lead trauma-informed interventions. This position will also involve co-leading Here to Help, a 12-week group intervention for mothers of children aged 4–18 impacted by family violence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating a safe, nurturing environment to foster mother-child connections

• Administering assessments and participating in treatment planning

• Leading and evaluating group therapy sessions

• Ensuring timely and accurate clinical documentation

• Monitoring client progress, implementing safety plans, and making referrals as needed

• Participating in team supervision, ongoing training, and cross-functional collaboration
