Senior Technical Delivery Manager

Description:

The Senior Technical Delivery Manager will oversee management and administration of projects including planning, resource coordination, and progress tracking. The role involves establishing control processes for schedules, reporting, risk and change management, and coordinating with other projects for integration. The candidate will investigate technical issues, handle change and decision requests, manage client approvals, and ensure team deliverables meet standards. The manager will mentor development team members, develop and monitor technical project plans, assist with resource acquisition, and support solution implementation and integration into production. The role requires communication within PMO governance and delivery of tested components and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project plans, resource plans, timelines, status, and progress reports.

• Establish and operate control processes (schedule, status, issues, risk, change management).

• Coordinate project plans with other ministry/enterprise projects for integration.

• Investigate technical issues and identify change, decision, and information requests.

• Manage approvals and sign-offs by clients for deliverables.

• Coordinate and monitor team resources to ensure work meets approved criteria.

• Mentor and guide development team members.

• Develop and monitor execution of the technical project plan.

• Participate in resource acquisition and allocation to meet deadlines.

• Review team deliverables for compliance with departmental standards.

• Communicate within PMO governance and to diverse audiences.

• Deliver tested components aligned with business requirements and test cases.

• Provide technical and user documentation for completed components.

• Support implementation and integration of solutions into production.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 12 months with option for 12 months extension.

• Location: Remote with occasional onsite visits (1-2 times per month) in Edmonton, AB.
