📜 Role Overview
Our Client is a well-established high-voltage engineering firm in Burnaby, BC, seeking an experienced #PowerTransformerEngineer to manage transformer design, redesign, diagnostics, failure analysis and repair supervision. The role involves working with oil-filled and dry-type transformers up to 150 MVA and 500 kV, along with technical coordination with manufacturing facilities in China.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• ⚡ Analyse transformer diagnostic tests, including #DGA, SFRA, Tan Delta and Partial Discharge.
• 📐 Design, redesign and reverse-engineer oil-filled and dry-type #transformers.
• 📑 Prepare technical assessments, failure analysis reports and #repair scopes.
• 🏭 #Supervise transformer refurbishment, assembly, inspections and #commissioning.
• 🌏 Conduct factory audits and oversee #FAT activities in China.
• 🤝 Coordinate with overseas manufacturers in English and #Mandarin Chinese.
• ✅ Ensure compliance with applicable #IEEE, IEC, NETA and CSA standards.
💼 Required Experience & Skills
• 🎓 Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical #Engineering.
• 💼 Experience: 5–8 years in transformer design, repair or #diagnostics.
• ⚡ Technical Expertise: Oil-filled and dry-type #transformers up to 150 MVA / 500 kV.
• 🔍 Diagnostic Skills: DGA, SFRA and #Tan Delta analysis.
• 📚 Standards: Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, NETA and CSA #standards.
• 🗣️ Language: Professional fluency in English and #Mandarin Chinese (Mandatory).
• 🏅 Licensure: #P.Eng. registration is preferred.
• ✈️ Mobility: Willingness to travel across Canada and internationally, including #China.
• 🇨🇦 Eligibility: Must be legally authorised to work in #Canada.
