Senior Migration Consultant

Veeva Systems, a public benefit corporation and one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in the life sciences industry, is looking to hire a Senior Migration Consultant - R&D to join its professional services team remotely in Canada. Veeva is dedicated to helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster through innovative cloud-based solutions. The company operates globally with headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This is a remote, full-time position suited for professionals with deep experience in data and content migration, particularly from legacy enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership during customer migration projects, ensuring data and document content are migrated effectively to Veeva Vault R&D cloud applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end content and data migration for Vault R&D implementations

• Provide expert guidance on ETL (extract, transform, load) processes from legacy systems

• Mentor junior data migration specialists and ensure best practices are followed

• Contribute to the internal knowledge base and drive enhancements in the migration process

• Collaborate with internal teams across services, sales, and strategy to ensure client success

• Scope and estimate migration efforts for new projects

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience with enterprise content management systems (Documentum, OpenText, SharePoint, etc.)

• 7+ years of database migration experience in enterprise software (SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, etc.)

• 7+ years of technical consulting in customer-facing roles

• Proficient with REST APIs, JSON, XML

• Proven leadership and mentoring skills in technical environments

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in Canada or the US

• Willingness to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in the life sciences industry

• Experience with Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, or Safety systems

• Familiarity with GxP compliance and software validation standards

• Project management experience in enterprise environments

• Understanding of migration verification processes

Compensation & Benefits:

• Monthly salary range: USD 7,500 to USD 15,416
