Description:

Mercer, a business of Marsh McLennan, is seeking a Senior Health & Benefits Consultant to join their Health & Benefits Consulting Practice in Winnipeg. This role involves leading complex client engagements, developing innovative benefits strategies, and mentoring a team of professionals. The position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the Winnipeg office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex client engagements including service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewal, business placement, benchmarking, and other studies

  • Develop sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies to address complex client issues

  • Define full scope of services for clients and set roles/responsibilities within the client team

  • Communicate Mercer’s position on latest industry trends to clients

  • Ensure revenue and profitability for client accounts and projects

  • Monitor project success in terms of scope, budget, timeliness, and client satisfaction

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in health and benefits consulting with strong client management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategic solutions for complex client issues

  • Experience generating sales, expanding revenues from existing clients, and leading prospecting for new clients is a plus

  • Previous experience mentoring and coaching team members
