Senior Global Sourcing Manager

Description:

SCIEX, a global leader in life science analytical technologies and part of the Danaher Corporation, is seeking a Senior Global Sourcing Lead to join their Global Sourcing team based in Vaughan, Ontario (on-site). This individual contributor role is critical in leading global sourcing strategies, managing key commodities, and optimizing vendor relationships across international operations.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring supply continuity, achieving cost optimization, and enhancing vendor performance to support cutting-edge innovation in life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute global sourcing strategies to ensure reliable supply chains and identify cost-saving opportunities

• Own and manage overall commodity spend to meet annual savings targets

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Global Planning, Procurement, and Commercial to align sourcing activities

• Oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement strategic vendor agreements

• Maintain and track operational forecasts, analyze variances, and ensure compliance with budgetary goals

• Work closely with procurement operations to align sourcing strategy with real-time supply chain dynamics

• Communicate and implement innovative supply solutions across global sites

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or commodity management

• Strong expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and lifecycle OEM vendor oversight

• Advanced commercial negotiation skills and experience in contract drafting

• Ability to influence cross-functional teams across various business functions

• Willingness to travel internationally as needed for vendor and operations engagement

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with overseas vendors and multicultural teams

• Prior involvement in sourcing for electronics commodities in the life sciences industry

• Familiarity with Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, or Capillary Electrophoresis is a significant asset
