Description:
Unilever Canada is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Tax to join its North America tax team. This position plays a key role in delivering statutory requirements for Canadian corporate taxes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, managing tax accounting and reporting, and supporting indirect tax processes. The role also involves managing US and Canadian withholding tax compliance for the region in coordination with the NA US International Tax Team.
The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, business acumen, and organizational skills, contributing to Unilever’s vision of growth, diversity, and inclusion.
Deliver annual Canadian Corporate Income Tax filings, coordinate with third-party service providers, and conduct preliminary reviews.
Manage tax accounting and reporting for Canada, including quarter and year-end tax provisions and forecasting.
Maintain tax general ledger accounts, prepare entries, and reconcile balances.
Support indirect tax processes, audits, reassessments, and refunds/payments of HST/GST/QST/PST.
Manage North America withholding tax compliance and reporting (Canada T4ANR & US Form 1042).
Handle tax-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in ad-hoc tax projects, acquisitions/disposals, process improvements, and indirect tax recovery initiatives.
CPA designation (or in final stages) preferred.
University degree in a related discipline.
2–5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Tax (corporate, indirect, and/or withholding tax).
Strong time management, organizational, and accounting skills.
