Description:
As the Senior Director, Global Term Funding, you’ll price and execute capital markets transactions to support CIBC’s wholesale term funding, identify and source cost-effective transactions in global fixed income markets, and develop strategies for senior and subordinated debt across fixed income, derivatives, foreign exchange, and money markets. You’ll manage ongoing interest rate and FX risk, accounting relationships, and cash positions for the Term Funding books. You’ll also arrange and execute interest rate structured notes, partner with Capital Markets on internal programs, and coordinate large public and private fixed income capital markets transactions. Your expertise will support Treasury’s Capital Management and transfer pricing functions, while you maintain awareness of economic trends and build strong relationships with both internal and external capital markets participants.

- Leadership and Knowledge Sharing – Demonstrate leadership through coaching and knowledge sharing with the wider group.
- Executive Support – Participate in the preparation and presentation of materials for senior and executive management.
- Process Improvement – Engage in initiatives to improve measurement, reporting, and analysis of capital markets activities.
- Regulatory Expertise – Provide expertise in the preparation of responses to regulatory surveys and inquiries.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate at least 7 years of experience in treasury, investment banking, or capital markets roles at a large organization. You have a strong technical foundation, including advanced capability with Microsoft Excel, experience with cashflow modeling and hedge accounting. Specific market execution experience on IR derivatives, bonds and/or FX will be considered a strong asset.
- You have a degree or professional qualification in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting (post-graduate preferred).
