Senior Devops Engineer

Direct IT Recruiting Inc. is actively hiring an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic B2C environment in a hybrid role based in Montreal, Quebec. The role focuses on managing infrastructure and deployment pipelines for sophisticated backend, mobile, and web applications while ensuring robust system security and performance.

You will be responsible for the implementation, optimization, and management of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and service integrations. Working with cross-functional teams, the candidate will play a vital role in maintaining system reliability, enabling smooth application deployments, and enhancing the DevOps culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and HCL for Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Manage deployments for B2C applications across Azure Cloud with emphasis on backend, mobile, and web services integration.

• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

• Develop, support, and optimize .NET/C# microservices for high-performance applications.

• Oversee SQL Server environments, with additional support for MongoDB when needed.

• Collaborate on mobile development integration with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).

• Support web development teams using Angular and TypeScript, ensuring smooth front-end delivery.

• Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls, proactively managing vulnerabilities.

• Use tools like JIRA and Confluence for Agile project management and documentation.

• Facilitate communication across teams and promote DevOps best practices company-wide.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 10+ years of DevOps experience with strong hands-on technical capabilities.

• Expertise in Terraform, Azure, and infrastructure automation.

• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

• Strong proficiency in .NET/C# microservices, SQL Server, and experience with MongoDB is a plus.

• Familiarity with mobile development technologies such as Swift and Kotlin.

• Solid skills in Angular, TypeScript, and modern front-end development.

• Knowledge and application of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability mitigation.

• Experience working within Agile methodologies and using JIRA/Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• DevOps certifications in Azure, AWS, or related technologies.

• Experience with Firebase backend services.

• Familiarity with Bitrise for mobile CI/CD pipelines.
