Senior Credit & Risk Manager

Description:

Quantum Management Services Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Credit & Risk Manager with a strong background in commercial leasing to establish and lead the credit function from the ground up. This newly created position offers a rare opportunity to define the department’s structure, implement robust credit policies, and develop a credit and collections service in a B2B environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of clients and loan applications

• Develop and implement strong credit policies, processes, and risk assessment tools

• Oversee and establish the credit and collections department

• Manage delinquent accounts and litigation files as needed

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including financial institutions such as the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)

• Prepare risk analyses and credit reports for internal stakeholders

• Participate in strategic meetings focused on credit, collections, and financial planning

Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of progressive credit management experience, including at least 5 years in leasing (automotive, equipment, or commercial finance)

• Experience working with the BDC as a loan officer, advisor, or manager of clients with BDC funding

• Strong knowledge of risk analysis, credit structuring, and commercial lending principles

• Excellent business acumen and organizational skills, with the ability to rethink and redesign a department

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

• Credit certification (e.g., CCP – Certified Credit Professional) is an asset
