Our government relations practice advises clients navigating Queen's Park: helping them build relationships, read the political landscape, and move issues forward with the Ontario government. You'll work alongside seasoned professionals, take on meaningful challenges, and see your impact in real time.

The Work We Do

Every day is different. That’s the point. At Oyster, you’ll be part of a team that:

· Supports Oyster's Ontario government relations practice, working directly with clients navigating Queen's Park

· Builds and maintains relationships with government, caucus, and public service contacts

· Advises clients on how to effectively engage the Ontario government on priority files

· Develops advocacy materials, briefing notes, and government-facing content

· Monitors provincial political and policy developments relevant to client sectors

· Digs into research, policy analysis, and problem-solving for clients across sectors

What We’re Looking For

We hire people who are sharp, curious, and want to grow fast. You'll thrive here if you bring:

· Experience working in or around the Ontario government: as a political staffer, in caucus, or in a related public affairs/GR role

· Established relationships within the current government at Queen's Park, and a strong reputation for being bright, capable, and well-regarded

· Comfort registering as a lobbyist under Ontario's rules

· Strong understanding of the legislative and policy process

· Clear, confident writing skills to support government outreach and client advice

· Open to candidates at the Consultant or Senior Consultant level, depending on experience
