Senior Applications Engineer

Description:

As a Senior Applications Engineer at TSS, you will collaborate closely with the sales and engineering teams to support customer engagements. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication. You will address technical challenges and provide guidance to junior staff, while focusing on customer success.

Responsibilities:

• Post-Sales Support:

  • Provide technical expertise and account management across the TSS IP licensing engagement lifecycle (pre-silicon, synthesis and PnR, packaging and platform development, post-silicon bring-up, production).

  • Manage incoming customer issues, coordinate debugging efforts, develop custom firmware for debugging, and drive issues to resolution.

  • Develop tools and scripts to enhance customer support and debugging processes.

  • Participate in tracking, packaging, and deployment of customer releases.

• Technical Marketing/Pre-Sales Support:

  • Deliver technical presentations and participate in industry trade shows.

  • Contribute to sales and technical marketing materials, including presentations, application notes, FAQs, documentation, training, lab materials, and silicon reports.

• Product/Validation Engineering:

  • Participate in internal/customer bring-up and validation activities, including diagnostic and characterization of TSS interface IP products.

  • Contribute to ESD, reliability, and production test qualifications for IP products.

  • Understand emerging protocols and customer requirements to improve TSS IP. (Up to 25% travel to customer locations).

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Master in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 4-8 years of experience (preferably in applications engineering or customer-facing roles).

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Professional experience with:

  • High-speed memory interfaces (LPDDR/HBM/GDDR).

  • SOC memory sub-systems, configurations, and trade-off analysis.

  • Verification, validation, and debug of digital logic; integration of digital sub-systems/IP.

  • High-speed signal measurement, validation, and characterization; jitter measurement and analysis.

  • Operation of test instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, BERTs, logic analyzers).

  • Programming, HDL, and scripting languages (C/C++, Verilog, Perl, Python, Tcl, etc.).
