Your Role as Senior Structural Engineer:

- Leading and supporting intermediate and senior engineers in completion of building projects in concrete, steel, masonry and wood from concept to completion.
- Leveraging innovative design solutions, including BIM, alternate project delivery models, and collaborative technologies to streamline the multidisciplinary consulting process.
- Carrying out studies and preparing reports, designing steel, concrete and masonry structures and providing technical support and contract administration during construction.
- Driving business growth by applying your industry expertise and leveraging your professional network to expand JLR’s client base.
- Completing complex seismic analysis and design of new and existing structures.
- Working and collaborating with an established, multidisciplinary, integrated technical team of architects, planners, engineers, and technologists.
- Participating in the development of competitive proposals to secure new assignments.
- Participating in continued education through formal technical training and collaborative presentations such as lunch and learns.
- Assisting with workload management to ensure project deadlines are met and final deliverables align with client expectations.
- Mentoring junior engineers and technologists.
- Acting as a Discipline Lead on multidisciplinary projects, taking leadership of the structural design team, driving the overall design, coordinating across all intersecting disciplines, taking responsibility for the budget and schedule of the structural deliverables, being responsible for the QA/QC processes, and stamping the final deliverables.
