As our Senior Advisor, Content Planning, Management, and Acquisition (Content Lead), you will report directly to the Arts, Variety, Factual and Sports Programming leadership team and contribute to shaping the division’s long-term vision. In this role, your primary focus will be steering major international projects — such as the Eurovision Song Contest — while also managing a diverse portfolio of internal, co-produced and external productions.

Key Tasks

  • Guide creative choices and production decisions to ensure they consistently reflect the public broadcaster’s core values and mandate.
  • Drive projects forward in alignment with divisional objectives, supervising them from concept to broadcast in collaboration with CBC, international partners and independent producers.
  • Exercise strong editorial judgment to enhance, adapt and pitch content and new ways of doing things that maximize audience engagement and viewership.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of production-related financial considerations, liaising with the Business & Rights team as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all Radio-Canada departments to optimize project impact and content discoverability.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between external producers and internal Radio-Canada teams (including Marketing & Communications, Promotion, Social Media, Digital Products & Innovation and Content Marketing) to deliver seamless, effective supporting campaigns.

What You Bring

  • University degree in a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience.
  • Seven to 10 years’ recent content production experience.
  • Deep expertise in TV production and major live broadcast events, along with in-depth knowledge of the key players in the independent production sector.
