RSM is looking for a Senior Associate to join our Finance as a Service team. We focus on emerging company and small business engagements by providing back-office support functions. Changing economies, new accounting policies and evolving tax regulations mean that businesses face an ever-changing business landscape. Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve accounting issues and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide accounting, finance and business advisory services to clients.
• Work closely with team leadership and clients to resolve accounting issues and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.
• Understand RSM’s service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery

Required Qualifications

• Canadian CPA
• Strong understanding of accounting systems and cloud-based tools.
• 4+ years of experience working in a fast-paced setting
• Ability and willingness to collaborate and work in team settings.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Firm understanding of general accounting functions
• Ability to understand the business objectives, people, and processes with our clients
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Willingness to travel, depending on clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a multiple projects environment.
• Previous client service experience
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or Xero
