Senior Accountant

Description:

A private family investment office in downtown Montreal is looking for a meticulous and driven Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing financial consolidation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to budgeting and financial analysis. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements for multiple entities.

• Assist with financial consolidation and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Continuously improve accounting processes and reporting efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (BAC) or equivalent.

• CPA designation in progress or completed is highly valued.

• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in multi-entity or investment office environments.

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
