Description:
- Two years of related transit/tourism driving preferred or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of NPC attractions, facilities, and services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operates the buses complying with WEGO Transportation and Niagara Parks Commission policies, procedures, and Ministry of Transportation guidelines.
- Performs a daily bus pre-trip inspection and records and reports any problems to the Supervisor and Wego garage staff.
- Maintains awareness of vehicle conditions (e.g., gauges, lights, etc.) and reports deficiencies to supervisor.
- Fills out the defect sheets on the bus during their operating schedule and reports serious deficiencies to the dispatch immediately.
- Follows proper radio procedures; reports all accidents/incidents.
- Monitors passenger capacity according to established procedure.
- Provide visitors with a script of information based on provided tourism materials.
- Works in accordance with all health and safety procedures, e.g. traffic/pedestrian safety, safe operation of bus
