Description:

BMO U.S. is seeking a Retail Relationship Banker to join its team in Corner Brook, NL. This role is focused on building long-term relationships with clients, delivering personalized financial solutions, and supporting customer banking, lending, and investment needs. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, proactively engaging with customers, identifying opportunities, and providing guidance on everyday banking, retail investments, lending, home financing, and small business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service by proactively engaging customers and prospects, assessing financial needs, and recommending tailored solutions

  • Advise on everyday banking, retail investments, lending products, mortgages (including business-for-self), and small business solutions

  • Educate clients on digital banking tools and self-serve channels to make banking faster and easier

  • Support client transactions and branch service needs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations

  • Build new relationships within the community through outreach, networking, and appointments

  • Make credit recommendations in line with sound principles, risk guidelines, and bank policies

  • Collaborate with internal partners to deliver integrated financial advice and ensure customer success

  • Participate in branch activities including inventory management, escalated service requests, filing, and opening/closing activities

  • Stay updated on financial services marketplace, regulatory requirements, and personal banking trends

  • Identify and report potential money laundering or suspicious activity in compliance with regulations

  • Contribute to branch goals, customer loyalty, and overall business growth

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary $34,750 – $51,800 annually (monthly equivalent $2,896 – $4,316)
