The Alterations Specialist plays a key role in delivering impeccable craftsmanship, ensuring every customer leaves feeling celebrated and confident in their perfectly fitted gown.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist all customers in a warm, professional, and engaging manner, both in-store and virtually.

• Manage multiple alteration fittings while maintaining the highest customer service standards.

• Provide detailed consultations to customers about gown fit, alteration options, and customization possibilities.

• Perform all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot-cleaning to David’s Bridal’s quality standards.

• Maintain consistent communication with stylists and store leadership to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

• Uphold all operational and service standards, contributing to the store’s Five-Star Customer Experience.

• Inspect all garments pre-delivery to ensure pristine condition and adherence to quality control guidelines.

• Handle customer inquiries with confidence and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.

• Keep the alterations work area clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.

• Participate in maintaining accurate inventory records, order pick-ups, and quality assurance processes.

• Execute POS transactions accurately and efficiently, reinforcing a celebratory experience for every customer.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

• Manual dexterity to perform precise sewing and fitting tasks.

• Capable of lifting up to 10 pounds.

• Proficient use of POS systems, computers, and communication devices.

• Visual ability to handle detailed work and assess garment quality.

Education & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1–2 years of retail experience, preferably in apparel or specialty fashion.

• Prior sewing and fitting experience required; bridal and formalwear experience preferred.

• Familiarity with computerized POS systems is an advantage.
