The organization is at the forefront of advancing artificial intelligence, particularly in large language models, and seeks a highly skilled Biology Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support critical AI research projects.

In this role, you will contribute to shaping the future of AI by creating and evaluating high-quality biological data that informs and improves advanced AI systems. The role demands rigorous analytical skills, scientific expertise, and the ability to critically assess AI-generated biological content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the accuracy, depth, and relevance of AI-generated content in the field of Biology.

• Review complex scientific outputs to ensure alignment with fundamental and advanced biological principles.

• Provide structured and detailed feedback to AI research teams to enhance the accuracy, quality, and reliability of model outputs.

• Design and implement robust evaluation rubrics for assessing AI-generated biological tasks.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary subject matter experts to maintain consistency across AI training datasets.

• Work independently and asynchronously, managing project deadlines effectively while contributing to AI innovation.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• PhD in Biology from a leading US, UK, Canadian, or European institution.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high level of English proficiency.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to critically analyze complex scientific material.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with AI model training, data evaluation, or related interdisciplinary projects.

Engagement Details:

• Contract role (hourly basis through Mercor).

• 15–20 hours per week, with potential to scale up to 40 hours.

• Fully remote and asynchronous engagement.

• Initial duration: 1–2 months, with possibility of extension.

• Compensation: Paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
