TESMauricie H2 Inc., based in Montreal and a subsidiary of TESCanada H2 Inc., specializes in the development of green hydrogen projects aimed at serving industrial processes and heavy transportation through a circular economy model. To power its hydrogen production facility in the Mauricie region, TES is developing both a wind farm and a solar park.
As the organization brings its flagship Mauricie Project to life, TES is expanding its team with exceptional talent. The role of Renewable Energy Engineer – Wind and Solar is a key position reporting to the Project Director – Renewable Sector. This position will be responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and integration of wind and solar technologies to support the Mauricie Project. Your technical expertise will be critical in optimizing energy efficiency, system reliability, and grid compatibility to ensure the successful deployment of renewable energy infrastructure for green hydrogen production.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Engineering: Develop wind and solar energy systems, evaluate performance indicators, and optimize system configurations for maximum efficiency.
Grid Integration & Energy Modeling: Conduct production assessments, grid compatibility studies, and storage system evaluations to ensure seamless integration into hydrogen production processes.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Collaboration: Liaise with grid operators, environmental agencies, and permitting authorities to ensure compliance with all design and regulatory requirements.
Equipment Selection & Supplier Coordination: Participate in equipment specification development, procurement strategies, and vendor evaluation for wind and solar components.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential technical and environmental risks and implement strategies to ensure system reliability and energy output.
Interface Management & Collaboration: Coordinate efforts across engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project success.
ESG Implementation: Support the incorporation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into the design of renewable energy projects.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain technical documentation, energy production forecasts, and system performance evaluations for the project management team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Academic Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Industry Experience: At least 5 years of experience in wind and solar energy projects, electrical systems engineering, or renewable energy integration.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of wind turbine technology, photovoltaic (PV) systems, grid interconnection, and battery storage solutions.
Project Engineering & System Optimization: Proven experience in the design, assessment, and implementation of renewable energy solutions for industrial applications.
Cost & Risk Management: Familiarity with budget analysis, procurement support, and risk management for renewable energy infrastructure.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is required.
