Press Operator

Description:

Precision Record Pressing, a leading vinyl record manufacturing company based in the Greater Toronto Area, is actively hiring a Press Operator for its Burlington facility. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role operating on a rotating weekly shift basis (7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 3:00 PM–11:00 PM). A shift premium applies. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating hydraulic and pneumatic vinyl record presses to manufacture high-quality vinyl records in accordance with customer orders and quality standards.

This position is ideal for individuals who are energetic, positive, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment. Applicants must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work without sponsorship. A clear Criminal Record Check is required prior to the start date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor vinyl pressing machinery and production equipment (extruders, hydraulic/pneumatic presses).

• Interpret work orders and schedules to ensure accurate and timely production in line with customer specifications.

• Execute quality audits and maintain product quality throughout the production process.

• Perform machine setup, shutdown, daily maintenance, and housekeeping to ensure safety and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and report equipment malfunctions.

• Visually inspect products and maintain production standards.

• Collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to improve workflow and minimize waste.

• Communicate effectively across departments and maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Physical Demands:

• Must stand for long periods during shift.

• Involves repetitive motion, bending, stooping, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Operate in an open warehouse environment exposed to varying weather conditions.

• Tolerant of moderate to high noise levels with appropriate PPE.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting is an asset.

• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work well under pressure.

• Must be capable of working all assigned shifts and available for overtime as needed.

• CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots required.

• Willingness to wear PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
