Description:

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc., a leading independent producer of renewable energy, is seeking a dynamic Specialist – Operational Technologies (OT) to join their team. Innergex operates hydroelectric plants, wind farms, solar parks, and energy storage facilities across Canada, the USA, France, and Chile.

As a vital contributor within the Operations Technology team and reporting to the OT Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, implementing, and providing technical support for control systems and cybersecurity strategies in renewable energy installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain operational technology assets including control, communication, network, automation, electrical protection, monitoring, security, and data collection systems.

• Design, evaluate, and optimize architecture components such as electronic and physical security, network diagrams, backup plans, and data point inventories.

• Oversee asset information including integrators, software update impact, criticality ratings, equipment lifecycle, and IP and password management.

• Assist in defining specifications for new projects, aid in supplier selection, and supervise project execution.

• Lead the deployment and documentation of OT standards and processes.

• Implement software updates and ensure operational continuity in live facilities.

Required Skills and Expertise:

• Excellent communication (verbal and written in both English and French).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

• Self-motivated with a capacity for self-learning and adaptability.

• Capable of handling multiple projects and working in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to travel on short notice.

• Strong project and vendor management skills.

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with OT tools: data loggers, historians, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems.

• Familiarity with communication protocols: Modbus, DNP3, Profibus, OPC, IEC 61850, IEC 61400-25.

• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity: intrusion detection, threat types, secure architecture.

• Strong IT understanding: Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, SNMP, SSL, VPN, and routing technologies.

• Network proficiency: OSI layers 1–7, LAN/WAN, firewalls, switching, and virtual servers.

Additional Considerations:

• The position is based at the company's headquarters in Longueuil, Quebec.

• French/English bilingualism is mandatory due to frequent collaboration with stakeholders outside Quebec.
