Network Technician

GO ROCK IT, a leading talent agency specializing in information technology and digital marketing, is currently seeking a Level 3 Network Technician for one of its strategic partners based in Montreal, QC. This full-time, on-site role offers a dynamic and technically rich environment aimed at experienced network professionals.

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting network infrastructure to ensure its stability and high availability. You’ll need to demonstrate a high level of autonomy, accountability, and organizational skills while adhering to change management and configuration protocols. The role includes preparing network infrastructure for new site deployments, working closely with project managers to drive change, and implementing cutting-edge solutions with industry best practices in project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the stability and high availability of the network infrastructure

• Respect and apply established processes for change and configuration management

• Support infrastructure needs for new site deployments

• Collaborate with project managers and department leads to implement new network solutions

• Apply best practices in network project management

Technical Qualifications Required:

• At least 4 years of experience in network engineering and management

• Familiarity with ITSM processes

• CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent is an asset

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)

• Mastery of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN

• Experience configuring and managing MERAKI network equipment

• Understanding of network security principles (MERAKI MX, VPN ZSCALER, CLEARPASS)

• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds

• Wireless technology knowledge (e.g., Wi-Fi Meraki) is an asset

• Basic scripting skills in Python are considered a plus

• Experience with Dell Hypervisor environments is an asset

Technical Environment Includes:

• Technologies: MERAKI MX, VPN ZSCALER, CLEARPASS, SolarWinds

• Visualization Tools: Tableau, Looker Studio

• Collaboration & Documentation Tools: Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, OpenText, Microsoft, SMA-X

• Languages: French and English required; Spanish is a bonus due to collaboration with teams outside Quebec
