Network Administrator

Description:

Innergex Énergie Renouvelable Inc., a leading independent renewable energy producer operating hydroelectric plants, wind farms, solar parks, and energy storage facilities across Canada, the United States, France, and Chile, is seeking an Administrateur/Administratrice de Réseau to join its team at the Longueuil headquarters.

In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient management, administration, and continuous improvement of the company’s network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, and telecommunication services across the organization. This position also involves active participation in IT systems administration and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure, maintain, and optimize LAN, WAN, and telecommunication services to meet capacity, availability, and reliability needs.

• Participate in developing and implementing network infrastructure strategies.

• Install, configure, and manage various network and telecommunication equipment (switches, firewalls, antennas).

• Configure firewall policies, access control lists, and authentication, authorization, and traceability features.

• Analyze the impact of different telecommunications solutions.

• Contribute to the evolution and improvement of network infrastructure projects.

• Implement and manage network security measures, including VPNs, antivirus systems, and firewalls.

• Provide level 2 and 3 support to ensure network security, integrity, and performance.

• Maintain documentation and standardization of network environments.

• Actively contribute to best practices and improvements to ensure high network availability.

• Assist with networking operations and perform system maintenance activities.

• Collaborate in selecting and delivering various IT solutions related to telecommunications and security.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in network management.

• College diploma or equivalent in network management (AEC or DEC).

• In-depth knowledge of VPN solutions, routing protocols, switching, QoS, IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, Internet, and data centers.

• Awareness of cybersecurity risk management and monitoring.

• Familiarity with ITIL v4 framework.

• Ability to work in an agile project delivery mode.

• Strong prioritization and collaboration skills.

• Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.

• CCNP certification is considered an asset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
