Mortgage Specialist

First National Financial LP, one of Canada’s largest non-bank lenders, is seeking a skilled Mortgage Specialist – Renewals to join their internal sales team in Toronto. This role focuses on client retention through renewals, early renewals, savings opportunities, and proactive client engagement. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inbound calls regarding early renewals, maturing accounts, and discharge requests.

• Retain accounts discharged due to property switches or sales.

• Proactively solicit to retain existing First National customers (inbound and outbound).

• Sell Mortgage Life Insurance and Home Warranty programs to eligible clients.

• Assist clients requesting early renewals for lower interest rates or debt consolidation.

• Utilize advanced technology to streamline the mortgage process.

• Maintain and improve retention percentages.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong communication skills (telephone and interdepartmental).

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

• Previous sales experience (inbound/outbound) required.

• Knowledge of mortgage underwriting, policies, and debt products preferred.

• Must meet Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) educational requirements; registration will be completed within five days of employment.

• Flexibility to perform shift work as needed to manage volume.
