Membership Sales

Description:

The YMCA of the National Capital Region is seeking a Membership Sales & Service Associate for its Rockland, ON location. This role is pivotal as the first point of contact for members and visitors, requiring excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to promote YMCA programs and memberships effectively. The position requires individuals who are energetic, outgoing, and customer-focused, with a personal commitment to the YMCA’s mission, vision, and values of excellence, compassion, dignity, accountability, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for members, delivering service responsibly, respectfully, and with care.

• Sell YMCA memberships and promote available programs and services.

• Support and participate in the YMCA member retention system.

• Accurately process membership and program registration transactions.

• Ensure operational and membership areas are kept clean and well-maintained.

• Engage with members to enhance their overall YMCA experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related field (asset).

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

• Ability to work with a diverse clientele.

• Fluency in English (oral and written); French is an asset.

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certification required.

• Must hold a valid permit to work in Canada.

• A recent Police Record Check (within the last 6 months) required.

• Previous experience with the Xplor system is considered an asset.

• Commitment to ongoing mandatory training for the protection of Children & Youth.
