The Institut de recherche du Centre universitaire de santé McGill (IR-CUSM) is a world-renowned biomedical research center affiliated with McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine and funded in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS). This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative clinical research while supporting both pediatric and adult patient studies.

As a Medical Technologist in Clinical Research, the incumbent will work under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor at the Centre for Innovative Medicine (CMI). Responsibilities include processing biological samples according to standard operating procedures, Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and Health Canada regulations. Core duties involve specimen collection from pediatric and adult patients, centrifugation, aliquoting, leukoplatelet layering, specialized laboratory techniques, sample storage in freezers and refrigerators, and preparing shipments to external laboratories. The technologist will also be responsible for documentation accuracy, proper labeling, maintaining research records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires continuous training in phlebotomy and laboratory techniques, strong independence, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary research environment.
