Maintenance Supervisor

Description:

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, part of the renowned Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Maintenance Manager (Mechanical Building Systems) to oversee and manage the mechanical operations of the property. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth functionality of HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and heat exchange systems within a luxury hotel environment.

The successful candidate will supervise a team of maintenance technicians, implement preventative maintenance programs, ensure compliance with safety standards, and coordinate both in-house and outsourced maintenance services to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, support, and performance oversight.

• Manage and maintain all mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and heat exchangers.

• Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to optimize system performance and longevity.

• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to manage work orders, schedules, and spare parts inventory.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize operational downtime.

• Collaborate with hotel management on maintenance strategies and improvement plans.

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.

• Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repair work.

• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance services.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Plumber, Refrigeration Technician, or Millwright certification preferred.

• Demonstrated supervisory experience in building maintenance, ideally in a hotel or large facility.

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building systems.

• Proficiency in preventative maintenance planning and CMMS essential.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and after-hours when required.
