Description:
Arcand et Associés is recruiting a National Maintenance Director for a well-established Canadian food industry group. This newly created strategic role reports directly to senior management and is aimed at structuring, harmonizing, and deploying a modern maintenance vision across a network of highly automated and regulated manufacturing plants throughout Canada.
The successful candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for consolidating maintenance practices on a national scale and driving continuous improvement in maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a structured national maintenance program.
Oversee maintenance operations across multiple Canadian sites.
Supervise and support the performance and development of local maintenance teams.
Harmonize maintenance practices and establish national KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and operational performance.
Collaborate with local teams on reliability and performance issues.
Lead strategies for preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance.
Support technological advancements including automation, robotics, and Maintenance 4.0 initiatives.
Act as a strategic change agent and a mobilizing leader across sites.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven multisite management experience in Canada (mandatory).
Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; engineering title highly preferred.
Significant experience in the food industry or highly regulated industries.
Strong expertise in automated environments, unionized settings, and management tools (CMMS, KPIs, OEE).
Strategic leadership skills, rigor, and collaborative mindset.
Bilingual in French and English (required).
Residency in the Greater Montreal area.
Willingness to travel regularly across Canada (approx. 30%).
