Description:
The leasing specialist is responsible to offer superior customer service to prospective residents and achieve overall high occupancy rates. Some travel within Canada may be periodically required. This is a six (6) month contract.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Advertise properties
- Monitor advertising effectiveness
- Obtain demographic information
- Pre-screen prospects
- Set up open houses
- Book appointments via telephone & online
- Show the property and all its amenities
- Maintain commission records
- Conduct market comparisons and mystery shops
- Conduct follow up calls
- Perform credit checks
- Inspect model units and market ready vacant
- Present all features and benefits of the property
- Complete all paperwork involved with the rental application

Experience:
- Two (2) years of direct work experience in a sales capacity
- Access to a vehicle
- Valid Driver’s license
- Persuasive closing skills
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail required
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential
- Superior telephone manners and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
- Previous experience in handling confidential or sensitive information
- Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills
- High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
