Lead Technical Program Manager

 

Description:

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager to join its transformative AI & Decision Product Enablement (AI & DPE) program in Vancouver, BC. This critical role involves managing the delivery of strategic initiatives that enhance real-time, scalable decision-making using cutting-edge technologies, including supercomputing, AI, big data clusters, and high-speed in-memory caching systems.

The successful candidate will drive strategic execution and ensure cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams. Responsibilities will include initiative delivery, release and roadmap management, capacity planning, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation.

You will lead the execution of large-scale resiliency-focused projects, define key KPIs, and support agile development using frameworks like SAFe. You'll also mentor team members and ensure that robust system stability and contingency measures are integrated into Mastercard’s AI platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies for technical system resiliency and contingency planning

  • Coordinate large-scale system reliability initiatives

  • Embed robust and scalable solutions across AI & DPE

  • Drive Program Increment (PI) planning and Agile Release Train support

  • Define and track KPIs for continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure secure, reliable architecture

  • Mentor and guide team members

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Experience in fast-paced, high-tech environments

  • Deep technical acumen to engage with engineering teams

  • Agile and SAFe methodologies knowledge
