Java Software Development Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze functional and technical requirements in close collaboration with business teams and architects.

• Design, develop, and test robust, secure, and maintainable Java applications aligned with clean architecture principles.

• Implement RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with internal and banking partner systems.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including scrum meetings, sprint reviews, demos, and planning sessions.

• Manage continuous integration and automated delivery pipelines using Concourse and GitHub Actions.

• Manage source code using Git and Maven, ensuring efficient version control and packaging of application modules.

• Conduct code reviews, performance analysis, and optimize critical components for performance and resilience.

• Collaborate with functional analysts, testers, architects, and integrators to ensure cohesive delivery of solutions.

• Document technical decisions, integration flows, and configuration details to support long-term maintainability.

• Apply recommended security practices in application development within regulated environments (web and mobile).

General Responsibilities:

• Work synergistically with software architects, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and other project team members in a matrixed and Agile environment.

• Partner with business solutions directors to deeply understand client technological contexts and software development challenges.

• Adhere to client-specific development standards and best security practices.

• Engage in internal innovation initiatives, knowledge sharing, and reusable component development within Dempton.

• Maintain compliance with security, quality, and data governance standards within Dempton’s environments.

• Participate in technical reviews, deliverable validations, and problem resolution.

• Maintain active technological watch on software development trends and cloud tools.

• Contribute to Dempton’s internal initiatives for innovation, reusability, and skill development.

• Consistently embody Dempton’s values and contribute to creating value for clients on the ground.
