Description:
HireTalent – a premier staffing and recruiting agency – is seeking a Production Support Analyst (IT Systems Analyst III) to provide technical and application support for a suite of critical 24x7 Loan and Trade Finance applications for a global financial client in Montreal. This is a hybrid contract opportunity ideal for experienced support professionals who thrive in high-availability, regulated, and fast-paced financial environments.
The selected candidate will be the go-to subject matter expert for application operations, infrastructure integration, and disaster recovery planning, while ensuring secure, compliant, and resilient systems.
Production Support:
Provide proactive and reactive support for Loan and Trade Finance applications on a 24x7 basis.
Follow up on application issues and coordinate with internal/external teams for resolution.
Monitor data flow between financial systems and troubleshoot any disruptions.
Technical Projects & Enhancements:
Participate in technical enhancement projects across the Financing Solutions platform.
Collaborate with project sponsors and IT teams to define business and functional specifications.
Produce and maintain technical documentation including flowcharts, runbooks, and interface specs.
Governance & Compliance:
Ensure applications comply with Information Security protocols and data protection regulations.
Manage infrastructure-related initiatives such as server upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and DR planning.
Maintain cyber security controls and manage CyberArk bypass controls for secure access.
Monitoring & Maintenance:
Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and system health checks.
Lead Change Control Review meetings to ensure smooth deployments and reliable data quality.
Maintain accurate documentation of business processes and technical integrations.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline.
Scripting Skills: At least one of Shell, Perl, Batch, or Python (required).
OS Expertise: Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows server environments.
Database Knowledge: SQL / PL SQL proficiency.
Middleware & Deployment Tools: Knowledge of MQ, WebSphere, Tomcat, and application deployment practices.
Programming Awareness: Basic understanding of Java/J2EE applications.
IT Tools: Jira, ITSM, ServiceNow (or similar), SN.
ITIL: ITIL foundation knowledge or certification is a plus.
Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to handle high-pressure support situations.
Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong team collaboration yet capable of working independently.
Agile and innovative approach to technical problem-solving.
On-call rotation: Availability required 24/7 during assigned on-call periods.
Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada.
