It Support Technician

Description:

Raas Infotek is urgently seeking a qualified Deskside Support Technician to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta. This onsite role is part of a "Hub and Spoke" support model, where the technician will be primarily based in Edmonton but will also travel to support nearby FCC offices. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and highly experienced in providing Tier 2 IT support across a variety of hardware and software platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 2 end-user support for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, mobile phones, and peripherals

• Support for Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft Apps for Enterprise (O365), and other desktop software

• Handle imaging, deployment, configuration, and software installation on end-user devices

• Maintain detailed documentation and update incident/service request tickets in the incident management system

• Troubleshoot file and print services and manage device hardware and deployment tools

• Deliver effective, professional verbal and written communication, including technical documentation

• Offer walk-up support and Microsoft Teams Meeting Room support (asset)

• Travel as required to provide deskside support at nearby FCC office locations

Required Skills:

• Diploma or certificate in IT, or a high school diploma with substantial experience

• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience

• Proven skills in desktop hardware and software troubleshooting in large, complex environments

• Experience with Microsoft Teams and Teams Telephony (asset)

• Strong communication, time management, and documentation abilities

• Ability to lift and transport equipment if necessary

• Must have a clean criminal record and valid driving abstract

• Must have own transportation for job-related travel
