Description:

Raas Infotek Corporation is urgently seeking a French Bilingual Desktop Support Specialist for its client in Québec City, Quebec. This on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to provide end-user technical support, system maintenance, and troubleshooting within a dynamic corporate environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Windows operating systems, network troubleshooting, and enterprise software support, along with excellent communication skills in both English and French. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while ensuring user satisfaction and compliance with IT policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance on-site.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based computer systems and related peripherals.

  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to higher-level IT teams and follow up until resolution.

  • Document all issues, resolutions, and technical processes using a support ticketing system.

  • Maintain and enforce IT security protocols, ensuring adherence to company compliance policies.

  • Provide IT onboarding support for new employees, including workstation setup, account creation, and software installation.

  • Support periodic IT maintenance schedules, including system updates and network optimizations.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven hands-on experience in desktop support, IT help desk, or similar technical support roles.

  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise applications.

  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting, including familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, and connectivity diagnostics tools.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities with a professional demeanor.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bilingual proficiency – French and English (verbal and written) is required.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or ITIL Foundation are considered strong assets.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

  • Equivalent technical training or work experience will also be considered.


Work Environment:

  • On-site position in Québec City (hybrid flexibility may be offered based on company policy).

  • May occasionally require evening or weekend availability to support maintenance operations or urgent issues.
