IT Specialist I-IV (ServiceNow Developer)

The Custom Application Development team is responsible for developing and maintaining applications using traditional development tools and low code/no code platforms, as well as configuring customs off the shelf application platforms such as ServiceNow.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coding, testing and debugging of applications and automations
  • Design and analysis of new and existing applications and automations
  • Utilizing application life cycle methodologies following standards and best practices
  • Configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications, integrations, and plugins/spokes
  • Prepare technical documentation, including test results, and technical manuals
  • Review and identify new platform features that can be enabled for the business
  • Share system administration responsibility with other team members

The ideal candidate will have one of the following:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent with concentration in software development
  • OR
  • ServiceNow certification combined with relevant experience

Combined with

  • Proficiency in computer programming and scripting
  • Good analytical skills (problem solving)
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Understanding of software development life cycle
  • Ability to communicate effectively

Experience or knowledge of the following would be considered assets:

  • ServiceNow certification (Application Developer, System Administrator or Architect)
  • ServiceNow Workflow Studio, App Engine Studio.
  • Scripting (JavaScript)
  • SOAP/REST API development
  • Other low-code/no-code platforms
  • ITIL Foundation certification

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
