Middleware Systems Administrator

 

Description:

As a Middleware Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting enterprise middleware infrastructure and identity management solutions that enable secure, reliable statewide criminal justice systems. The role administers technologies such as application servers, messaging platforms, single sign-on, public key infrastructure, and Splunk, ensuring system performance, security, availability, and integration across complex enterprise environments.

This Position Requires An Employee To Work Onsite At 1430 Maryland Ave E, Minnesota At Least 3 Days Per Week , With Limited Telework Available. Telework Eligibility Depends On Residence
 

  • Candidates living in Minnesota or within 50 miles of the worksite in a bordering state (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) may telework up to 50%.
  • Minnesota residents living more than 50 miles from the worksite may be eligible to telework more than 50%.
  • Candidates living 50 miles or more from the worksite in a bordering state may work onsite 100% or may be telework eligible if relocating within 50 miles.
     

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must clearly show all of the following qualifications in their resume.

Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of IT related experience working with Middleware Information Systems.

Experience Must Include
 

  • Knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise Middleware platform (e.g., Oracle Service Bus, IBM MQ Enterprise, Splunk.
  • Internet, extranet and intranet web application systems.
  • Experience with TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth, and common security elements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate application systems logging and data requirements into meaningful and useable data for pattern analysis and Middleware software solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
  • Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.
