IT & Operations Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with equipment management, installing and configuring computer hardware and software in the IT department.
  • Maintain the Evergreen process by ensuring staff and volunteer workstations are regularly updated, and all asset management documentation is accurately maintained.
  • Provide technical support to staff and volunteers, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with their technology, as they arise.
  • Set up new user accounts, ensuring proper access, permissions, and configuration to support staff and volunteer workflows.
  • Other duties as required to meet the Society’s organizational goals.

 

About you

You have a post-secondary education, or are currently a student in information technology, computer science; or you have an equivalent combination of education, practical experience, and lived experience that equips you with the knowledge and skills needed for this role. You bring a proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing IT equipment and supporting departmental projects. You excel in collaborating with internal IT teams and external service partners, ensuring seamless and efficient operations. Your commitment to excellence is evident in your ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with integrity and respect. Having worked in a not-for-profit environment is considered an asset and will help you better understand the needs of our community.

 

Key Qualifications

  • You have 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • You have solid knowledge of repairing and replacing equipment as needed.
  • You effectively prioritize tasks and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines or changing priorities.
  • You confidently use existing technology and processes, and remain open to adopting new tools and skills.
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully, seeking clarification when needed to ensure shared understanding.
  • You actively collaborate with colleagues, share ideas openly, and welcome diverse perspectives to enhance team outcomes.
  • You recognize and address routine challenges, using sound judgement to know when to consult others or seek input.

 

Technical Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer systems, networks software and hardware.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 applications, such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, etc. and other Society software.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Azure.
